Although being a mom is living out my dream…that doesn’t mean my life’s always peachy. Sometimes motherhood hands you lemons… like late-night breastfeeding, teething…or my toddler son literally throwing a lemon at my head during this photo shoot! (haha, true story just ask Patricia from Beaubelle Photography!) But just because being a mom is often difficult, it doesn’t mean that it’s not still a beautiful experience. Maybe, sometimes your world needs to be turned upside down to get a new perspective!
When I get overwhelmed with the demands of being a mom (which I’m not going to lie happens pretty often!), I have to stop myself and remember how lucky I am to have my son. Like many of you, I have friends and family who have battled with infertility or had children with severe illnesses. I often look back on all the nights I prayed for a child, and then once I became pregnant spent the next 9 months praying that he would be born healthy. This little boy (in all his silliness) is truly an answered prayer. So when he is cranky and refusing to nap, or when we start potty training in the near future (Lord help us!) I will continue to remind myself that I am living my dream.
These adorable mommy and me “Livin the Dream” tees are by one of my favorite shops Mama Heart Co . Mama Heart Co is owned by mompreneur Lea, who is mama to two little ones, and one on the way!
