“I was looking for a creative outlet while I stay at home with my 3 boys. I love being a stay at home mom and feel so blessed to be able to do it, but also know that it’s good for me to have a project and my own goals to work on. The idea for Rooted Leather came to me one day while I spent an afternoon carefully folding baby clothes – clothes my three boys no longer fit into, my three boys who spent that afternoon running and laughing and wrestling and growing as I made those piles. I was surprised by how many emotions went into those piles of clothes; the memories flooded back as I folded. The onesies my sons came home from the hospital in, the sweater they all wore for their first birthday, the striped shirt that clung to each boy as they took their first few steps.
